Congressman John Boehner (R- West Chester) released the following statement today applauding House passage of the FY 2015 Commerce, Justice, & Science Appropriations Bill (H.R. 4660):

"Americans are earning less and paying more for nearly everything in the Obama economy, making it all the more critical that we cut spending and keep money in the pockets of the hardworking taxpayers who have earned it. This bill does just that, spending nearly $400 million less than last year's bill while prioritizing programs that will help support economic growth, increase U.S. competitiveness, boost manufacturing, and keep America safe. The bill was also passed under an open rule that allowed members to freely submit amendments, another step toward keeping our pledge to run a more open and accountable House. With economic growth declining in the first quarter and millions still asking, "where are the jobs?,' House Republicans will continue making Americans' priorities -- jobs and the economy -- our priorities."
